Praise the Lord!

Big Day! Cindy got her stomach tube removed on Friday. She drank clear liquids for the rest of the day and walked four or five times during the day around the hospital floor. Saturday she is cleared for soup and broth to start her digestive tract into motion.

  3. Cindy, you must be so hungry. And that food they’re giving you: omg. Doesn’t a milk-shake have the same consistency as soup? Clearly you’re not in a Dairy Institute Approved Hospital. Frank needs to check on that.

Until then, you’re “cleared for soup and broth.” It sounds like you’re taking beginner pilot lessons. Next week you’ll be cleared to buzz the tower, but for now you’re just cleared for soup and broth.

I am happy to hear of your progress, even as I am stunned to hear of your diagnosis. You will get through it. If love has a healing effect, you are already on the mend.

  4. Cindy, I am so glad to hear you are progressing well through your recovery; not surprised in the least bit! You are one of the most positive, upbeat friends I know! I am sure you are making light of the lovely hospital gowns they give you, especially walking around in them! :)
We are continuing to pray for things to come out in your favor! God is on your side ... what else can you ask for, right?

    Love you,

    Penny and family

  5. Penny,

I think the gown is a good look for me. I accessorize with white knee-high compression socks layered with blue ankle sock with a white non skid pattern on the bottom. When I am cold, I tie it all together with a blue tie-dye Snuggie. All different shades of blue of course. Wouldn't want to be too matchy-matchy.;)

    Love you,

    Cindy
